The Texas Children's Hospital
Kangaroo Crew
transports critically ill babies and children by air or ground
ambulance to Texas Children’s Hospital. A patient’s doctor can
request service from the Kangaroo Crew.

Texas Children’s Hospital is an approved facility for the Medicaid,
Medicare, TexCare (CHIP) and chronically ill and
disabled children plans. The hospital also participates as a
provider to most major managed care organizations in the state of
Texas.

Texas Children’s Hospital
will bill patients’ health insurance companies for hospital charges
incurred during a child’s treatment. However, all uncovered charges,
co-payments and deductibles must be paid in full when services are
rendered. Physician charges are separate and must be paid in full
when services are rendered.
The hospital
accepts payment by cash or check or by VISA, MasterCard,
Discover or American Express credit cards. Questions about Texas
