    Patient Services

    International Patient Referral

    Our International Patient Coordinators can help you determine the right physician who will be able to review your case. Once the case is reviewed, they will assist you in making appointments and providing you with information related to your visit. This service is provided as a courtesy to you by Texas Children's Hospital.

    All patients and their families are assisted at all stages of their health care experience by our helpful, compassionate team. Among the languages we speak are French, Spanish, Dutch and Japanese.

    International Visiting Scholars Program

    The International Visiting Scholars Program is designed for select physicians who practice medicine in other countries and have a strong desire to learn about pediatric medicine with the aim of promoting the improvement of pediatric health care in their home countries. In addition, the program seeks to develop and strengthen clinical, educational and research relationships between Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine and international institutions, public and private.

    The International Visiting Scholars Program in Pediatrics consists of clinical observation and participation in daily conferences and Grand Rounds.

    Please note: The program is not designed for physicians pursuing residency positions in the U.S.

    2012 marks the 21st annual Texas Children's Hospital International Colloquium. The event, scheduled for April 23-28, 2012, is being held at Texas Children's Hospital and the Omni Riverway hotel in Houston, Texas.

    International Speakers Bureau

    The International Speakers Bureau is a team of physicians, surgeons and health care professionals who have committed to exchange knowledge with international partners for the betterment of child and maternal health worldwide. Our internationally recognized faculty presents on a wide variety of topics in pediatrics, surgery, obstetrical care, nutrition, infectious disease and more.
