At the Texas Children’s Hospital Newborn Center, babies get the specialized care they need to grow and thrive. Established in 1957, Texas Children's Hospital's Neonatology Service is staffed by more than 500 experts, including physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, nutritionists, pharmacists, allied health professionals, and administrative and research staff.

Many of the babies cared for by the Texas Children’s Newborn Center are born at adjoining hospitals. Many others are transferred to Texas Children's from local, state, national and even international facilities.

As an extension of the Newborn Center, Texas Children's Neonatology Graduate Clinic is available to provide complete health care to for children from birth to age 18, whether they began life in Texas Children's Newborn Center or another nursery.
