Group Discounts: Will be applied only to groups of 4 or more from the same primary facility

4-6 participants will receive a 5% discount.

7-9 participants will receive a 10% discount.

10 or more participants will receive a 15% discount.


Cancellation Policy:  A written request for a full refund must be received by Texas Children's Hospital no later than 21 days prior to the start of the course.  Written requests later than 21 days will result in a 50% refund; 72 hours or less no refund.  Tuition may only be applied toward another Texas Children's Hospital sponsored course within 6 months of cancellation. Courses where Texas Children's Hospital is not the primary sponsor do not qualify. Texas Children's Hospital reserves the right to cancel the event 10 days prior to the course date and assumes no responsibility for pre-purchased tickets.

Baby Steps: Building Ambulation Interventions

In this course we will focus on pre- and early ambulation in a population that is predisposed to rapid and dramatic changes: the birth to three population. We will examine typical and atypical preparation for and development of ambulation in the infant and toddler. Learn more

Postural Alignment Strategies: Infancy through Adolescence
September 27& 28, 2008
This course will focus on the importance of alignment, assist therapists with recognizing clinical signs of postural problems, and discuss treatment strategies for the development of optimal posture alignment, control and movement. Therapeutic intervention to optimize alignment, including tapes, garments, straps, splints, and cast will be presented with specifics techniques demonstrated. Lab sessions will include the use of these intervention with fabrication of a Birkenstock insoles and night splints (for PT), and semi-rigid wrist and long arm cast, and thumb spica (for OT).
