Texas Children's Hospital, in partnership with St. Luke's Episcopal
Health System, is offering a valuable health-information resources
at the Consulate General of Mexico.
Being in a foreign country can be the biggest adventure
of one's life, but
learning the ins and outs of a health care system can be a
challenge.
We can help you learn to stay healthy and know what to do if health
problems
do arise. The Medical Information Center offers tips on:
- Nutrition
- Children's vaccinations
- Diabetes prevention and management
- Public and private health plans
- Choices for non-emergency care in
Houston
Trained staff and volunteers,
who speak English and Spanish, are ready to help. Everyone is invited to use this center
as a resource
– local
residents as well as temporary visitors, including the
95,000 clients served each year by the Consulate General
of Mexico.
