New policy for leave of absence for medical staff
The hospital’s Credentials Committee, Medical Executive Committee and
Board of Trustees approved a new policy concerning leave of absence for
individuals on the Medical Staff. The policy permits members of the medical
staff to request a leave of absence for a period of not more than one year for
such purposes as additional training, family matters or personal health
conditions. Physicians on leave of absence due to military duty may be granted a
leave for a longer period of time if the duration of their duty extends beyond
the one year limit. The procedures for requesting such a leave, as well as for
reinstatement to the medical staff, are provided in Policy No. MS 100-03, which
is available online.
New members of the medical staff (Appointed September
12, 2007)
Below is a list of individuals who were appointed to the Texas
Children’s Hospital Medical Staff at the September 12, 2007 meeting of the Board
