When you’re reviewing your
insurance options, make sure
you’re getting the best possible plan. In general, a good plan will
pay for some or all of the following, although you may have to pay for some
percentage of each service.

If you already have a specialist whom you
want to continue using, find out if the plan requires
referrals to see specialists. Also, get in writing any exclusions or
special cases you should know about.
After you choose a plan, make sure you
carry your insurance card and some money source (cash, checks,
credit card) to pay your co-pay or other out-of-pocket expenses for
doctors' visits, labs or procedures.
