From Dr. Yusuf
Dr. Yusuf has a significant interest in observation and hospital medicine, besides working in the Rapid Treatment Assessment Unit of the Texas Children’s Emergency Room. She is currently involved in two research projects. One of the projects involves looking at the risk factors for admission of children with bronchiolitis from the Emergency Department Observation Unit. She is also a Co-Investigator in measuring the quality of care delivered during Emergency Department overcrowding. Other interests include teaching residents and medical students, and also scheduling and developing the Ben Taub Pediatric Emergency student and resident lecture series.
Goal: To provide state-of-the-art health care to children seeking emergent services.

- Advance excellence in emergency pediatrics through innovations in research
- Provide world-class education and training in pediatric emergency medicine
- Advance the causes of safety and security for all children through advocacy for their medical, physical and emotional needs
