From Dr. Sirbaugh
Dr. Sirbaugh’s academic interests are in pre-hospital pediatrics (EMS), resuscitation, expanding surge capacity and disaster medicine. His most recent collaborative effort, including publications, has focused on disaster response: regionalization of response, utilization of regional resources, and the implementation of the Mobile Pediatric Response Team (MPERT).
Goal: To provide state-of-the-art health care to children seeking emergent services.
Objectives:

- Advance excellence in emergency pediatrics through innovations in research
- Provide world-class education and training in pediatric emergency medicine
- Advance the causes of safety and security for all children through advocacy for their medical, physical and emotional needs
