From Dr. Palazzi
Dr. Palazzi is a member of the International Pediatric Fungal Network and is participating in several multi-center studies evaluating the epidemiology of invasive fungal infections in children as well as the safety and pharmacokinetics of antifungal agents in patients with invasive candidiasis. Dr. Palazzi also has an interest in antibiotic stewardship and is a member the of Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society’s Education Subcommittee of the Pediatric Committee on Antimicrobial Stewardship. In addition, Dr. Palazzi has a strong interest in medical education. She is Associate Program Director for Curriculum of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program as well as co-director of Fellows’ College in the Department of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital. She also is pursuing a Master’s of Education in teaching with an emphasis in the health sciences through the University of Houston.
