    From Dr. Isaac

    Dr. Isaac’s research interest is in the area of child maltreatment. Her interests include construction of prevention programs (inflicted neurotrauma) and the development and education of medical/nursing staff and the community. She has developed a community-based Shaken Baby Prevention Program directed to young, teenage parents that focuses on prevention through understanding the needs and normal behaviors of crying infants.

    Goal: To provide state-of-the-art health care to children seeking emergent services. 

     

    Objectives:

    • Deliver individualized, high-quality health care to the emergently ill or injured children
    • Advance excellence in emergency pediatrics through innovations in research
    • Provide world-class education and training in pediatric emergency medicine
    • Advance the causes of safety and security for all children through advocacy for their medical, physical and emotional needs
