  • About Us

The only established program for the surgical treatment of pediatric and adolescent gynecologic disorders in Texas.

The Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology Division at Texas Children’s Hospital is one of the few established programs for the surgical treatment of pediatric and adolescent gynecologic disorders in the United States and is the only such program in Texas. The division, part of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine, routinely performs common and highly complex surgical procedures for a wide range of gynecological on patients ranging from newborn to 21 years old.

The Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology Division participates in three unique multidisciplinary subspecialty clinics:

    • Gender Medicine Clinic - A collaboration with a team of experts from the Endocrine, Urology and Genetics Divisions.
    • Anorectal Malformation Clinic - A team approach that includes the Pediatric General Surgery and Urology Divisions.
    • Young Women's Bleeding Disorders Clinic - Working in close concert with Texas Children’s Hematology Center, this is the only program in the nation to offer “one-stop” care for gynecologic, hematologic and psychosocial issues for teenagers with menorrhagia and bleeding disorders.
