Rotation Site Description
The resident will spend the month with the director of pharmacy.

Rotation Responsibilities
To serve in a learning position to support development of competence specific to leadership skills. Participate in activities of discussions to enhance and promote strategies to provide safe, effective pharmacy services.

Activities

  • Meetings with the Director as scheduled.
  • Meeting with leadership within the department as well as across the institute as appropriate.
  • Hospital-wide meetings may be attended as designated.
  • Projects to be assigned throughout year and during Administrative rotation.
Topics to be discussed
A variety of discussions specific to management, leadership, performance improvement, Pharmacy and Therapeutics activities, medication safety, formulary management, continuous service readiness, etc.
