The Texas Children’s Sleep
Center is one of the few accredited centers in the country specializing
in pediatric sleep disorders. The Center provides diagnostic evaluation and
treatment for children with all types of sleep disorders and is
accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Common sleep disorders in
children include problems falling asleep or staying asleep,
respiratory problems during sleep, sleep walking and abnormal
movements during sleep. Less common problems include narcolepsy and
other disorders of excessive daytime sleepiness, seizures during sleep and other medical and
neurological problems that affect sleep.
Neurology and neurophysiology
specialists use a variety of resources including the sleep
laboratory and numerous pediatric subspecialists to provide
multidisciplinary care. Patient self-referral and
physician referrals are accepted.
