Patient Guide - Medication refills

Some of the medications prescribed by clinic physicians are controlled substances, which require special prescriptions. Please keep the following in mind:
· Controlled substances cannot be refilled by pharmacies. Parents must call the Clinic Refill Line, provide the required information and allow 24 hours for refills to be mailed to you.

  • A 30-day supply of medication with refills is the clinic’s standard prescription. On request, we can provide a 90-day supply.
  • Allow seven days for a handwritten prescription to be mailed to you, or make arrangements to pick up the prescription at the clinic.
  • The clinic’s policy is to refill medication provided we see patients at least annually. Patients who consistently miss appointments will be referred to their primary care physician for medication refills.
  • Prescriptions will not be refilled when the clinic is closed.
