In addition to providing optimum medical care and monitoring for its patients, the Down Syndrome Clinic of Houston plans to provide education and resources to the community through the following outreach activities:

  • Parent workshops in collaboration with the Down Syndrome Association of Houston

  • Professional seminars for doctors, nurses, therapists, and other working in the health care field

  • Networking events with other Down Syndrome clinics in the State of Texas and nationally

The role of educator is an important community responsibility of the Down Syndrome Clinic of Houston. The staff welcomes inquiries from the medical community and the general public and will help guide callers to appropriate resources within Houston or elsewhere.
