The
Houston Astros kicked off its 2008
winter caravan by visiting patients
at Texas Children's. The caravan
visits kids in schools and
hospitals and participates
in other events across Texas.
Astros’ manager Cecil Cooper,
pitchers Brandon Backe and Dave
Borkowski, and mascot Junction Jack,
along with Astros great Jimmy Wynn
and
broadcaster Bill Brown visited
patients and their families, signed
autographs and played ball.
