Conferences and seminars

For professionals


Texas Children's International sponsors education and training of physicians and support staff around the world. It also hosts seminars, conferences and international meetings to bring doctors from around the world together for idea exchange and professional advancement.

Professional education events sponsored by Texas Children's International include: 

  • International Pediatric Nursing Symposium
    A bi-annual conference that presents the latest advances in nursing care of infants, children and adults with congenital heart disease.

  • Observership program - Medical students and doctors come from such diverse locations as Mexico, Germany and Guatemala to participate in the international observership program. These professionals and students spend approximately one month observing the techniques and processes of specialty clinics and inpatient units throughout the hospital.

  • The International Colloquium in conjunction with the Baylor Pediatric Postgraduate Symposium

  • The Pan American Health Organization – Technical Advisory Group on Integrated management of Childhood Illness (IMCI TAG). Established in 1902, PAHO is the oldest health organization in the world.
